SJU will face USA’s best senior, Doug McDermott (Creighton)

Saturday evening, Saint Joseph’s University will play at home against Creighton, with a certain Doug McDermott on their roster. Doug Mc Dermott  (born 1992, 2m03) is probably the best senior player in NCAA basketball.

Playing on the 3-4 spot, his type of play is quite similar to Dirk Nowitski. McDermott made it already twice to the All American First Team of NCAA basketball. During the season 2012-2013, he scored 77 three-pointers (49%!!). Last summer, he played in the starting line-up for Team USA on the World University Games. In the first two games for Creighton this season, McDermott averaged 27.5 points.

Analysts predict Doug McDermott to be within the first 10 NBA Draft Picks for next season. This miracle kid is a pretty big hype in the US,  Sports Illustrated dedicated this article on him. Next video analyses his game and shows some highlights:

The match-up against Creighton, is one of THE games of the season for Saint Joseph’s University. Tickets for the game will be sold at 35$ and the Hagan Arena of SJU will be completely sold-out (capacity 4500).
