International Coaching Apprenticeship in Basketball (ICAB) – Day 1

Yesterday I arrived at the University of Delaware to participate to the International Coaching Apprenticeship in Basketball (ICAB). For the next 5 weeks I will be part of the coaching staff of a NCAA Div 1 College team.

FIBA Europe, FIBA, the Olympic Solidarity, USOC and the University of Delaware are working together in order to create a programme to further develop the knowledge of the coaches worldwide. This programme called the International Coaching Apprenticeship in Basketball (ICAB) and starts its first edition on 20th October 2013 and last until 24th November 2013.

Yesterday was travel day: I woke up at 4.30 am to fly to Frankfurt and then a 9h during flight to Phildelphia, finally to arrive at 2.00 pm at the University of Delaware. Finally, I went to bed at 8.30 pm to wake up at 5.00 am, staring at the seiling. I’m really excited for the first day in the program. Probably I will find out to which College I am going on Wednesday and more details on my schedule. I’ll keep you posted!
